Dare Street Family Getaway- Walk to beach, pets ok

Great place to stay. Helpful hosts.

Ocean Grovers Positive: Such a short walk to the pub, shops and restaurants and just a stroll down to the beach. Couldn't be better positioned. Older style beach house with many original features. Masses of internal space and generous lawn areas ideal for Bocce or Finska. All necessary crockery, cutlery pots and pans, condiments etc. We just had a lovely break with our teen aged granddaughters. One tip, the water pressure in the main bathroom was much better than the ensuite.

A lovely home away from home, excellent location and great value. Positive: We loved Dare Street. An older beach home done up with a modern twist on furnishings. It felt homely with plenty of room to relax. We enjoyed sitting at the funky bench, looking out at the ocean view. Its super close to beach, just a stroll down the road. Our dogs first real beach adventure and he loved it! It's got a large secure back yard and it was lovely sitting out there in afternoon sunshine. The front yard proved a hit for kicking a ball around, too. The kids loved having their own rooms to spread out. The bunk room is tiny but suited us fine. A short walk to the main street helped a lot, close to shops, Coles, cafes, restaurants etc and dogs were welcome to sit out the front at most places. The hosts were responsive and helpful, and kindly gave us an earlier check in. Thanks for a lovely weekend, we will be back! Negative: The shower in ensuite didn't have much pressure so we used the main bathroom cause it was amazing! The master bed was ok but the spare bed was the most comfy! The master could do with some sheets and a blanket but we found an extra doona which worked well. The key lock was a bit fiddly, we are tall and could figure it out but shorter person may struggle to read which button is clear and or open.
