Daintree Family Getaway- Beach, Aircon,

The size and comfort of the house was excellent for our needs and well appointed. Would stay again. Positive: We liked the two lounge room, large TVs, large bedrooms, three toilets, 2bathrooms, beds were comfortable, plenty of parking space, kitchen facilities good and generally spacious. The house was clean upon arrival. House excellent for the number of people we had staying. Negative: The backyard lawn had not been cut for a long time and this limited its use and we couldn’t sit out there. The outdoor area was exposed to the sun with no shade (an outdoor umbrella would be good) which was disappointing as it was an advertised feature of the property. The evaporated AC was generally ok on mild days but on the two hot days it was blowing out hot air making upstairs uncomfortable. Minor improvements would be a top sheet in the main bedroom, more than one hand towel in each bathroom, some essential condiments such as salt, glass doors on the back decking required a good clean. The small broom & dustpan provided were insufficient to sweep up properly and the dustpan itself had shards of glass still on it which needed cleaning before we could use it. Given we were there for 8 nights & the number of people staying, supplies such as toilet paper, dishwashing tablets etc were more geared for a more shorter stay.
